Without a doubt, Deepika Padukone wins amongst all four.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan won the Miss World 1994 pageant and is touted as the most beatuiful woman not only in India but in the world as well. Because of so much of pomp and hype, I know most of them out there will not agree to me saying than Aishwarya Rai is not that great an actor. I think her only worthwhile performance is in Sarabjit.

I have never been a Kareena Kapoor fan ever. That is because as an avid viewer I have never felt she acts good. She acts better that Aishwarya Rai but definitely not great. I do have to give it to her for playing Geet in Jab We Met though- it was an awesome performance and she carried that film altogether. Kareena Kapoor has mostly stuck to scripts which are highly male centric (Salman Khan films for example) where actresses have nothing much to do except look glamorous.

Don’t even get me started on Katrina Kaif, the Indian Kristen Stewart. Doesn’t even deserve to be on the list.

I’ll have to write pages and pages to support Padukone’s win here. To make my life simpler, please watch these films:

Edit: I was in no way comparing Priyanka Chopra to Deepika Padukone. Both are fantastic and being a Priyanka Chopra fan as well, I would like to make this very clear.

For those who say Kareena Kapoor is a better actress, I was hinting at the choice of films both these ladies have in their respective kitties. And Deepika obviously has the ability to choose better scripts than Kareena Kapoor.

Aishwarya Rai is the best among the bests. She is not only the most beautiful woman in the world, but also a phenomenal actor per excellence. Being a die hard “ Aishwaryan “ I do admit that it has always been her breathtaking beauty that has been noticed first, before her acting skills. She has gaind enormous appreciations for her beauty as she deserves it but correspondingly has been underrated as an actor, which is unfair for sure.

Aishwarya made her debut in south’s famous director Maniratnam' s movie ‘ Iruvar' , where she played role of Kalpana that was inspired by the real life of Late CM of Tamilnadu, Jayalalitha. As a debutant, Aishwarya was really good. The film was not a huge box office success but was critically acclaimed. Aishwarya was cast opposite South superstar Mohanlal.

Aishwarya' s another south movie ‘ Jeans' was a commercial success and was dubbed in Hindi as well. Aishwarya' s debut Hindi movie was ‘ Aur pyar ho gaya' where she played the role of Ashi kapoor and was cast opposite Bobby Deol.

Aishwarya has given fantastic performances in a number of movies. Like Taal, Him dil de chuke sanam, Devdas, Chokher Bali(Bengali movie), Raincoat, Provoked(English), The mistress of Spices (English), Jodha Akbar, Umrao jaan, Enthiran(Hindi- Robot),Guru, Ravan, Guzaarish, Jazbaa, Sarbjit, Ai do hai Mushkil.

Aishwarya has worked in total 43 movies. Including lead roles in 37 movies and 6 guest appearances(cameo). And she has endorsed huge number of best ever national & international brands from her modelling days to (before winning beauty pageant) till now.

BTW, I have mentioned the names of only those movies I personally felt being some of her best performances. I do love all of her movies. I love her presence in any way. Its bliss to see her. She is the pride of India.

‘Better Actress’ is something related to acting skill rather than just being beautiful. So forget about the facial beauty, hotness, and other ‘showcasing’ features of these actresses. I think amongst the four , Deepika Padukone is the better actress. She has played some iconic roles in movies like Bajirao Mastani, Piku,Tamasha, RamLeela .

So out of these four Deepika is the best till now.

I think you are asking who among the following three is the better actress?

You know, Katrina Kaif is already out. Poker faces are not considered for great acting skills.

Among remaining three, I would always go for Aishwarya Rai. No, not because she is beautiful but because she is actually a great actress and I can never forget her acting in movies like Devdas and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

Deepika Padukone gives good expressions but she is overrated.

Kareena Kapoor is more known for plausibility rather than acting. She is not comparable either to Aishwarya or Deepika.

well undoubtedly kareena because she is the one who has brought someting new on table with roles lile K3G, Dev, JWM, Heroine, Talaash and many more. From doing dark roles to glamorous role, from comedy in G3 to negative role in Fida…she has done all. She might have choosen wrong films but she never choose a bad role. she has always made a balance between mass and class and that's why she has the most loyal fan base and she is still doing films in her late 30’s and being married and yes being pregnant now. survicing 16 years in this industry is not a joke…Doesn’t matter if you are a kapoor, khan or bachchan unless you don't know abt acting.

Deepika has done a good job in cocktail, tamasha and bajirao mastani http://only….In ramleela she couldn't get the proper gujarati accent and that year filmfare didn't have better option so she got an award, with piku they had option to give it to kangana but kangana had diff ideology with awards so she didn't get but she did get a national award.

Aishwarya is a good actress but she need a good director

The comparision is all wrong. Only Kareena Kapoor can act. Aishwarya, Katrina and Deepika only add to the glamour.  The comparision should be between Vidya Balan, Konkona Sen Sharma and Kareena kapoor. Though Tabu is a better actress compared to all of above.

But the actresses that you have listed are popular just because of their beauty and not acting..But if you want sort out bad from the worse than it would be her only..
Kareena kapoor coz of roles in Omkara,Jab We Met,Ashoka
I feel kareena is a little ahead coz of the versatality in comedy for golmaal 3 etc..
